Co-Founder & CEO
Dr. Abed Benaichouche is the Co-Founder and CEO of Open Innovation AI, where he leads the company’s vision and execution in building sovereign, scalable, and hardware-agnostic AI platforms for governments and enterprises globally. Under his leadership, Open Innovation AI has grown to a unicorn valuation in less than three years, driven by large-scale national deployments, global partnerships, and rapid platform adoption.
Prior to founding Open Innovation AI, Dr. Abed was part of the early founding team of G42, where he served in senior technology leadership positions, including a CTO role, and contributed to the design and scaling of the group’s core AI platforms and large-scale infrastructure initiatives. During this period, he also co-founded and served as CTO of AIQ, the AI joint venture between G42 and ADNOC, leading the development of industrial-grade AI solutions for energy and mission-critical applications. In parallel, he began serving on the boards of multiple global technology companies, advising on AI platforms, large-scale infrastructure, and long-term value creation.
As CEO of Open Innovation AI, Dr. Abed oversees the delivery of end-to-end AI platforms spanning GPU orchestration, MLOps, and GenAI operations, enabling customers to deploy and operate AI with full control over data, models, and compute. The company serves national AI programs, critical infrastructure operators, and global enterprises.
He holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics and Data Science from MINES ParisTech and a master's degree in computer Vision and Virtual Reality from Université d’Évry-Val-d’Essonne. He is the author of dozens of peer-reviewed research papers and patents in artificial intelligence, algorithms, and large-scale computational systems.
Co-Founder & CTO
Dr. Rachid Belmeskine is the Co-Founder and CTO of Open Innovation AI, where he leads the company’s technology and product strategy, shaping the architecture of sovereign, scalable, and hardware-agnostic AI platforms for governments and enterprises globally. His work focuses on building AI infrastructure and platforms designed for sustained, production-scale operations.
Prior to founding Open Innovation AI, Dr. Rachid built his career across software engineering and data science, contributing to the development of large-scale AI platforms, enterprise systems, and national AI initiatives. He later joined G42, where he played a key role in the design and scaling of core AI platforms and national-level AI infrastructure programs.
He is a Co-Founder of AIQ, the ADNOC–G42 AI joint venture, where he served as Head of AI Solutions. In this role, he led the delivery of industrial-grade AI and big data platforms for mission-critical energy applications. The technical and platform foundations established during this phase supported AIQ’s evolution into a unicorn.
As CTO of Open Innovation AI, Dr. Rachid oversees the design and evolution of the company’s core technology platform stack, spanning GPU orchestration, AI workload scheduling, MLOps, and GenAI operations. His work continues to shape how AI infrastructure is designed, governed, and operated on a national and enterprise scale. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Université de Picardie Jules Verne and is the author of numerous peer-reviewed research articles and patents in artificial intelligence and computational systems.
Chief Growth Officer
Ghalib Brahimi is the Chief Growth Officer of Open Innovation AI, where he leads the company’s global growth agenda and strategic partnerships to accelerate the deployment of sovereign, scalable, and hardware-agnostic AI platforms for governments and enterprises worldwide. Under his leadership, the company drives ecosystem development and international expansion, enabling large-scale adoption through trusted alliances and market-building initiatives aligned with national priorities.
Prior to joining Open Innovation AI, Ghalib held senior leadership roles at Lloyd’s Register for over a decade, where he scaled the organization’s digital portfolio across multiple regions, building high-performing distributed teams and driving execution with major energy clients. He led the international expansion and go-to-market of Energy Digital Products as Global Sales Director, before serving as Regional Vice President overseeing regional performance and delivery.
Previously, Ghalib strengthened his AI ecosystem expertise at AIQ, the AI joint venture between G42 and ADNOC, serving as Director of Sales & Business Development and supporting the adoption of AI products for mission-critical energy applications. His career foundation was built at Schlumberger (SLB), where he held several roles driving large-scale digital transformation programs for global energy clients in complex, high-stakes environments.
Ghalib holds an Engineer’s Degree in Automation and Industrial Computing from INSIA Paris, with additional engineering studies at Polytech Grenoble.
Chief Financial Officer
Mouad El Fazziki serves as Chief Financial Officer of Open Innovation AI, where he leads the company’s financial strategy, governance, and long-term financial planning. He oversees core finance functions including budgeting, reporting, risk management, and operational controls, ensuring financial discipline and resilience as the company scales its sovereign AI platforms.
With a career shaped by finance leadership roles in high-growth, technology-centric organizations, Mouad brings a rigorous analytical framework and a deep understanding of complex, regulated environments. Prior to Open Innovation AI, he held pivotal roles at Core42 and the multinational Orange Group. In these positions, he architected financial control systems, streamlined global reporting processes, and provided decisive oversight for operations spanning multiple jurisdictions. His expertise in navigating the financial intricacies of scaling technology businesses has been instrumental in driving both operational efficiency and strategic investment.
In his current role, Mouad works closely with the CEO and executive leadership team to align financial planning with strategic objectives. He plays a key role in enabling informed decision-making, reinforcing transparency and operational rigor, and ensuring the company’s financial foundations support sustainable growth and regulatory compliance.
Chief Commercial Officer
As a forward-thinking leader at the intersection of technology, innovation, and commercial strategy, Ali Nimer has built a distinguished career turning digital vision into tangible business growth. With over two decades of experience driving large-scale transformation across the public and private sectors, he has become known for his ability to translate complex challenges into strategic opportunities that deliver lasting impact.
In his role as Chief Commercial Officer of Open Innovation AI, Ali leads the company’s commercial strategy and go-to-market efforts across enterprise and public-sector markets. He spearheads initiatives that support revenue growth, strengthen market positioning, and build long-term relationships with customers and stakeholders, ensuring alignment between Open Innovation AI’s objectives and client needs.
Prior to joining Open Innovation AI, Ali held senior leadership roles with leading organizations including Core42, Microsoft, Mubadala, Masdar, IRENA, Injazat, the Abu Dhabi Digital Authority, Miral, and NEXT50. Across these roles, he successfully led transformative programs that accelerated digital adoption, fostered innovation ecosystems, and strengthened the region’s technology landscape.
Ali holds an MBA from the University of Cumbria, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the Jordan University of Science & Technology, and an International Diploma in Project Management from the University of Cambridge. His academic and professional journey reflects a consistent commitment to learning, excellence, and empowering teams to achieve meaningful, future-focused outcomes.
